He may take on the role of Telecommunications Commander, responsible for the ship&#8217;s radio and satellite communications, a delicate role especially in emergency situations. <\/p>\n<p>To perform this role, specific technical skills, a good degree of autonomy, and &nbsp; organisational ability are required in addition to knowledge of languages. Knowledge of telecommunications systems and related electrical and electronic equipment is also indispensable, as well as a sense of responsibility and the ability to intervene immediately. <\/p>\n<p>The activities that characterise the training course are aimed at &nbsp;achieving the skills, abilities and acquisition of knowledge referred to in Section A-II\/1 (Deck Officers) of the STCW Convention \u201878\/95 as amended 2010. The figure aims at the attainment of skills, abilities and knowledge related to the field of vessel operation traceable to the professional figure of the Deck Officer referred to in Ministerial Decree No. 251 of 25\/07\/2016 of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. <\/p>\n<p>The course includes a unified final examination to obtain the ITS diploma and the COC according to D.I. No. 15 of 23\/01\/2018.<\/p>\n<p>The deck officer is responsible:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The safety and handling of goods and persons on board<\/li>\n<li>The running of the ship<\/li>\n<li>Works on the basis of identified and codified responsibilities with respect to the tasks envisaged by the grade<\/li>\n<li>It also performs administrative tasks related to the ship<\/li>\n<li>Uses high-tech tools<\/li>\n<li>It holds specific certifications issued by recognised bodies<\/li>\n<li>He is in charge of a navigation guard at operational level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>COURSE LOCATION:<\/strong> Livorno<\/p>\n<p><strong>DURATION: <\/strong>3 years (12 months boarding and 1200 classroom)<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECIPIENTS: <\/strong>Young people who have just graduated and adults up to the age of 54 with a secondary school diploma.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SCHEDULED START:<\/strong>&nbsp; December 2024 &#8211; Mandatory attendance<\/p>\n<p><strong>FREE PARTICIPATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Possibility of obtaining<strong> scholarships<\/strong> (to be assessed on the basis of ISEE data)<\/p>\n<p><strong>12 months of on-board training and STCW Basic Training included in the course<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS TO THE COURSE: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EU Citizens<\/li>\n<li>Seafarer registration first category<\/li>\n<li>Second-cycle secondary school diploma from the technical institute specialising in transport and logistics vessel driving option alternatively, certificate from the D.M. 19\/12\/2016 route (formerly alignment).<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing biennial inspection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>TOPICS:&nbsp;<\/strong>The educational pathways are aimed at the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities related to the field of Vessel Conduction, traceable to the professional figure of the Navigation Officer as per Ministerial Decree No. 251 of 25\/07\/2016 of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. <\/p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION RECOGNISED
