I.S.Y.L., Italian Super Yacht Life, is the only ITS (Higher Technical Institute) dedicated to yachting in Italy and based in Viareggio, Tuscany, the heart of the Italian nautical sector. It was born with the goal of organizing highly professional courses dedicated to training figures of the sea economy.
The I.S.Y.L. Foundation aims to promote the dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge, and to support measures for the development of the economy and active labor market policies. It acts in the technological area of the sustainable mobility of nautical transport and logistics sector, particularly in the areas of production and maintenance of means of transport and/or related infrastructure and the mobility of people and goods.
Funded by POR FSE 214-2020 of the Tuscany Region, the ISYL Foundation has already successfully activated training courses dedicated to future Superyacht captains, reffitters, Nautical and Port logistical specialist , designer of onboard interiors and future managers of yachting and yachting tourism. Other courses have been successfully completed. (link) The foundation aims to train trained professional figures of the crew of a SY and other professionals in the shipbuilding, port, logistics and hospitality sector.

On Friday January 28th the new Fondazione Isyl (Italian Superyacht Life), location have been inaugurated. Villa Borbone, a Beautiful historic villa is now, thanks to Comune di Viareggio ISYL campus. At the inauguration, the new ITS courses dedicated to post-diploma higher education were presented. Gioya – Yachting World School- was launched, the project promoted by ISYL and NAVIGO to provide the nautical industry with international specialist degrees.
