COURSE DESCRIPTION: L’Ufficiale di coperta – UFF C 2 – assumes responsibility for a navigational watch at an operational level, participates in the navigation and manoeuvring of the ship, collaborates in the actions of handling, stowage and lashing of goods. He/she works on the basis of identified and codified responsibilities in relation to the duties envisaged by the grade. The activities that characterise the training course are aimed at achieving the skills, abilities and acquisition of the knowledge referred to in Section A-II/1 (Deck Officers) of the STCW Convention ’78/95 as amended 2010. Applied through DM No. 251 of 25/07/2016 of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The course includes a unified final examination to obtain the ITS diploma and the COC according to D.I. No. 15 of 23/01/2018.

• Second-cycle secondary school diploma from the technical institute specialising in transport and logistics vessel driving option alternatively, certificate from the D.M. 19/12/2016 route (formerly alignment).

TITLE RECOGNISED AT THE END OF THE COURSE: The specialisation diploma for “superior technician for the conduction of the vessel or for the management of on-board installations” (deck officer) corresponds to EQF level VI and will be issued in accordance with Decree 15 of 23/01/2018 in order to jointly obtain the ITS title and the professional qualification of Deck Officer.
